Not Your Father’s Disruption

In quantum computing, biotech, and space mining the United States is competing for dominance with China…and the U.S. is losing. Innovation and disruption go hand-in-hand whichever side embraces this first will win the 100-Year Marathon.

We Must Mine Space Before China Does

China has engaged in a decades-long strategy of encirclement of the United States. They have focused on capturing critical resources in order to hold America hostage. In my recent op-ed at American Greatness, I argue that the United States must mine the moon and asteroids before China does, in order to prevent China’s total dominance of rare earth metals.

The Wrong Stuff: U.S. Space Policy

The president’s recent tweet undercutting his administration’s moon-Mars plan underscores a terrible misconception about space policy on the president’s part. It’s not just about taking a pretty picture on the Red Planet. It’s about taking territory before our rivals can. Therefore, taking the moon first and then pushing on to Mars is the only way to get Americans in space permanently.

The Deep State Just Killed Space Force—and Endangered Us All

The “Deep State” not only threatens the president with a #FakeNews story of Russia “collusion.” They are now seriously undermining American national security all in the name of “resisting” the dreaded “Orange Man” president. Sad!

The Space Force Is No Laughing Matter

“The president’s space force idea is not new—and it should be taken seriously. But because everyone hates Trump in the media, in academia, and in the government, the concept will be marginalized and ultimately abandoned. While the “creatives” in Hollywood give Americans a comedic view of space and of those who would take it seriously, the Chinese people are reinforced in the belief that it is their rightful place to take space and hold it.”

China Is Beating the United States In The New Space Race

“China has been playing the greatest game of geopolitical, technological and economic catch-up with the West in history. With their recent strides in all three fields, China has caught up. What’s more, China is poised to beat the United States in the new space race—a race that America, apparently, isn’t even interested in taking part in.”

National Pride Drives Human Innovation in Space

“Ryan Gosling’s comments fall flat in the end. We can never forget how important the national interest is for our space program—or any national program—to succeed. America’s role in space should be celebrated, not diminished. The next wave of human space exploration is waiting to occur. It will only happen if the right incentives are offered and those incentives are the same today as they were in the first Space race.”
