*In the opening of the interview I was referring to some audience members from my recent IWP lecture who came up to me at the end of the event and insisted on calling me “naive,” “foolish,” and a “Putin-lover.” Indeed, this has been a natural assumption from anyone in D.C. whenever someone like myself brings up the issue of Russia challenging the conventional wisdom. All in all, though, the audience at IWP was great and I continue enjoying my ability to speak at IWP.
